Guns and Gangs Consultation Workshop

Up to 25 young people from across the Borough took part in a consultation workshop in partnership with the Greater Manchester Police Authority. The workshop was set up as a result of the success from the You Choose events that took place at Old Trafford and Bolton Arena respectively. The aim of the workshop was in order to attain the views of young people around a DVD that had been created for young people on the issues of guns and gangs.

Participants included young people from the Pikes Lane Community Group and the Just for Girls Project. Young people found the workshop very interesting as puppets were used to get the message across, providing room for some fruitful discussion.

All participants of the workshop are awaiting AQA accreditations in recognition of attendance. The GMPA will be carrying out similar workshops in the future here at BCOM for young people in relation to Terrorism.
