9th November - 14th December 2007, Bolton Muslims Girls School. Female football coaches from The Bolton Council of Mosques are now taking part in a culturally sensitive football programme in partnership with Bolton Muslim Girls' School. The coaches qualified through the Sports Health and Inclusion Volunteers Scheme, were accredited in Level 1 Football Coaching by The F.A., are running a pilot scheme with 20 young girls at the school. The qualification has aided them in delivering football sessions to a new sector of the community to become involved in sport activities promoting healthier lifestyles. Success of the scheme will result in sessions being held in other institutions within the town.Upon successful completion of the course all participants will receive a certified accreditation by The AQA in recognition of their skills. The Bolton Council of Mosques will also be looking at the participants working towards the Junior Sports Leader Award. The Junior Sports Leader Award is designed to provide a starting point for young people, over 14 years of age who want to develop their sports leadership skills. A nationally recognised qualification, the JSLA provides a fun course for young people to participate in and to give them an insight into the enjoyment one can gain through sports leadership.
