A group of over 20 young BME girls were able to have an enjoyable day out by attending a Blackpool trip organised by the Bolton Council of Mosques. Girls came from different areas in Bolton who enjoyed their time at the theme park. A number of thrilling rides which included “The Big One” were participated by the young people giving them confidence in facing their fears and overcoming them.Sameeha Mohammed (15) who also attended the trip said “It was a brilliant day, and I sat on all the rides even though I was scared! Thank you to BCoM for organising the trip.” The Bolton Council of Mosques have continued to work with the girls and have encouraged them to access the services of BCOM for further development. A number young people will have further opportunities including other outdoor trips and training sessions such as First Aid.
