Every Child Matters in Maddrassah is a new approach to provide support and guidance ensuring the well-being of children and young people from 4ys + who attend the Maddrassah.

Following the blueprint laid out by the Government around keeping children safe, whatever their background or circumstances; to have the support they need to:

1. Be healthy
2. Stay safe
3. Enjoy and achieve
4. Make a positive contribution
5. Achieve economic well-being

BCoM is committed to support the Mosques and Maddrassah's to make changes to safeguard children in their care and to help meet the Every Child Matters outcomes by :

• Developing a Charter for Maddrasah's and Mosques to sign up to
• Ensuring all staff and volunteers have had a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
• First Aid Training for teachers and committee members
• Child Protection - Train the Trainers training
• Developing an "Every Child Matters in Maddrassah Safeguarding Manual"
