Young People Organised Trip
Youth Forum

During the summer break and the Month of Ramadhan some of our young people took part in engaging themselves and coming forward to volunteer in community events and tasks. Some of the tasks that they undertook were,

  • Football organisers course
  • Community clean up project
  • Harmful effects of sheesha and tobacco smoking workshop
  • Disabled access clean up project

With the support from The Bolton Council Of Mosques (BCOM) The young people then organised a trip to Blackpool for other young people as an incentive to keep up the good work for the future.

There were 46 young people from different communities and backgrounds that took part in the trip along with 6 volunteers from BCOM.

“We had a really good time and I enjoyed all the rides and I even overcame my fear and went on the Pepsi Max!”

(Mohammed Garda)

“The day went very well and it was our first time we got to organise a Trip ourselves and it was successful too. I have learnt a lot thanks to the staff at BCOM”

(Yasin Adam)
