The 3rd Annual Cricket Competition batted off at the Indoor Bolton Arena venue with a fantastic start with 14 teams taking part from across the borough. This year’s competitions attracted some young talent giving the golden oldies a run for their money.  The Competition was sponsored by many small companies with General Traffic Line as the major sponsor for this event. 

Inayat Omarji from the Bolton Council of Mosques commented "It is great to see a great mix of young, old, and from the different communities of Bolton playing and spectating together in this fantastic and thrilling competition".

It was a fantastic Final with Lucky IX from Preston, last year’s champions and Sabri stars creating a 20 -20 series carnival atmosphere.
Once againLucky IX retained their shield with an infamous victory over Sabri stars.

Sabri stars – Moin Bapu with the umpire’s decision took home the Man of the Tournament trophy, congratulated by all who acknowledged his world class performance
