Mosque & Maddrassah Support

Shorai Association (International) was established in 1986 by Chief Instructor Sensei Joe Tierney, 7th Dan. Shorai loosely translated means ‘future’. It is an open system which has fundamental values but has incorporated the modern aspect for today’s martial artist.
Doors are open at the newly opened club at Imam Zakaria Madrasa building where over 80 young people on a Tuesday, Friday and Saturday take part.

“Shorai Conflict and Prevention” a newly formed Voluntary organisation managed and run by trainer Imran Majid who is qualified himself to the highest calibre, saw a passion to link the community buildings into a more than just a place of worship, but to provide opportunities beyond the Madrasa curriculum.

Supported by the Bolton Council of Mosques, the Sport Health and Inclusion Services and the dedicated support by the Madrasah Teachers, the Club has seen itself grow and become more sustainable with children having there own uniform to competing in Tournaments and bringing back the winning trophies.
