Phoenix Futures Bolton Tier 2 Service

Our Bolton Tier 2 Service is a confidential open access drop–in service open six days a week. We are here to support anybody over the age of 18 who is concerned about their own substance use, or worried about a friend, partner, or family member.

You can self refer to the service by either coming in to the centre (at 21 Wood Street, Bolton BL1 1EB) or by contacting us by phone on 01204 527057

Referrals are also accepted from any other professional by completion of a referral form.

As we are ‘open access’ you do not need an appointment to speak to a drug worker - staff are available during office opening hours (Monday – Friday 9am - 7pm; Saturday 11.30am - 3pm) to offer the support, information and advice you request, including signposting to non-drug services where appropriate.

We provide the following:

  • Confidential, non-judgmental, free service
  • Harm minimisation advice and information
  • Advice and information on substances and their effects
  • Advice on healthy living
  • Services for friends, carers and relatives
  • Assessment of needs
  • Key working
  • Referral and support into substance misuse services
  • Referral and support into healthcare services
  • Signposting and referral to non-drug services
  • Advice, information and onward referral to blood borne virus services for screening and vaccinations
  • Structured one to one appointments
  • Brief therapeutic work
  • Information about safer drug use, including advice around overdose issues.
