Jobs and Careers

Bolton Council 5-19 Service is part of the Children’s Service within Bolton Council and is committed to working with children and young people throughout the borough to access positive activities.

The 5-19 Service is looking to recruit casual  summer workers to work on a variety of schemes across the borough including childcare, open access and twilight projects.  Experience of working with children and young people aged between 4 and 19 is essential.  Work available includes either play care work at one of the full day schemes (37 hours) run at various sites including community centres, play centres, and schools or free sessional open-access  opportunities in similar venues for local children and young people (up to 30 hours).  You will provide a safe child centred environment offering creative play/care and youth opportunities to children and young people aged 4 to 19.

Successful candidates will be required to take part in a week’s pre-summer training and must be available every day from Monday to Sunday between 19th July and 5th September 2010 (no time off for holidays will be available between these dates).  All posts are also subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and you must be aged 17 or over by the 19th July.
