Once again the Reebok saw the venue for teams from the different communities engaging themselves in the beautiful game of Bolton demonstrating the true cohesion and understanding that Bolton’s communities have, from the young to the old.
As the horrific events unfold and news of killings are on people's screens, Bolton's community is particularly concerned, having raised over £32,000 to send goods with the Aid convoy. Accompanying the medical and educational supplies is a volunteer from Bolton who is on one of the ships that are being targeted.
COMMUNITY cohesion was the real winner as teams from the various communities of Bolton battled it out in the inaugural One Bolton Cup on Sunday 23rd May.
The week-long training programme is the first of its kind in the UK and will teach people the skills they need to be a chaplain in a multi-faith environment. Organisers say the course is pioneering and, if successful, could be rolled out to other towns and cities across the country.
