The Bolton Council of Mosques (BCOM) and colleagues from across Greater Manchester, working closely with HM Coroners in the Greater Manchester area, have initiated the use of Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) instead of invasive post mortems. This collaboration is in order to offer families a choice of an invasive post mortem or a MRI scan to identify the cause of death.
